Testimonials

“I love that you are my teacher this year and I find playing the oboe very fun!”

— K.S., young oboist

“Thank you very much for adjusting my oboe, reeds, and for the great coaching session yesterday. I didn’t realize how frustrated and discouraged I had become about my playing. I’m making great progress with your excellent advice & practice techniques. You are a FABULOUS teacher. I so appreciate your generosity.”

— M.W., adult learner

“Being a member of the Ann Lemke Oboe Studio has been one of the most valuable and worthwhile experiences of my life. Not only have I grown and matured greatly as an oboist, but I have learned the importance of hard work and motivation. Dr. Lemke doesn't just teach; she pushes her students to their full potential. I truly feel that she has prepared me for the college auditions process and I feel very confident that her teaching and mentorship will serve me well beyond my college years. I have truly enjoyed this studio experience and I would recommend it to any aspiring oboist.”

— L.H., graduating senior oboist

“You are the one who made L continue to play the oboe, because during that time I saw her (6th grade- beginner band) frustrations on how to handle and play the oboe. I was about to pull her out of band class but she didn’t want to give up. I witnessed her perseverance, so I had to find a way to help her by searching for an oboe teacher who could help her. And GOD is so good that He gave us Ms. Ann Lemke! You made her embrace the hope that she can improve her performance every day thru virtual teaching, and the most encouraging part is your patience with her. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
She’s making progress with all the help of your quality teaching!!”
