  • Limited enrollment so each oboist receives lots of individual attention!

  • Each participant has their own workspace.

  • By the end of SOS, participants should be able to make an oboe reed that plays or have improved their reed-making skills.

  • Warm up as a group and play in ensembles according to your level

  • Make your own reed case to safely hold your new reeds — reed case supplies included!

  • On Thursday, June 20, we celebrate with a mini ensemble concert — Family members are invited to the 6 pm performance!

Cost includes a folder of materials, supplies to make a reed case, and mini-concert!

Enrollment limited to 15 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should have completed 6th grade and been playing for at least 1 year.

Each participant should bring their own reed making tools, labeled when possible with their name / initials. Oboists who need a reed-making kit may order the “Lemke Studio” custom reed-making kit from HB Oboe Reeds. Extra cane and tubes are available for purchase at the Studio.
